Banks V6 Alfa Europa
« on: Monday,June 17, 2019, 05:25:26 AM »
Someone posted this on the Facebook “Fantastic Plastic” group page. No further info other than it is somewhere in Victoria Australia. Wonder why it’s all dusty and not on the road?

Pretty sure I have seen pictures of that car from when parts of it where at Banks - Looks like it was never finished as the body still has the split lines on it from the moulds.

Think it has a Citroen transaxle (sourced from an Esprit) and could also have an Esprit chassis (its not a Banks chassis) from the look of the rear crossmember....?

Doesn't look like it would require too much work to get it on the road and would certainly be interesting?!

Is that a Marcos next to it?

Looks like a couple of fun projects. I'm sure glad they aren't on Vancouver Island!

I'm the someone :)
Was a club visit to a private collection.
Dusty as it's been sitting in a slightly breezy shed out on a gravel road in country Victoria.
It is a shortened Esprit chassis.
Needs a fair bit of detailed work, like the interior and wiring etc.
All the big stuff seems to be done.
Not currently for sale.

Here's another one from the same private collection using a 3 litre Vauxhall Omega engine, apparently.

Very pretty.

That’s one wild looking Europa. Not sure I like it, too many busy lines.
