« on: Monday,November 14, 2016, 05:47:48 AM »
Hi .. wondering if anyone here can help identify the engine type that this bellhousing is designed to fit .  came off a Europa 4 speed box apparently  , but is not the standard Renault type (at least not the same as the one i have )?.. part number 7700597320 cast on the gearbox side .   thanks

Was the ID tag still on the gearbox?  If so, what was the suffix?

The starter is on the wrong side for the Europa's stock Renault engine and the TC bell housing didn't have a Renault part number so the transaxle wasn't from a Europa.

i agree .. thats why i am trying to figure out what it may have been connected to .. may open up previously unconsidered (by me at least ) engine options .. starter is wrong side for R21 as well so its not from one of those .

Well, it's not from an R17 or R16 as I have parts manuals for them.
