TC outboard shaft

Hi guys,
i'm rebuilding rear right hub and the nut screws as in picture. By your opinion, is it correct?

Is it all torqued up?  Is it a TC or a Special?  Specials use a narrower bearing spacer.  I'm just going from memory but there is no axle nut washer, just the lock tab washer.  You also have to have the radius arm in place when assembling the rear hub -- not clear from the photos that it is.

Hi,
the car is TC and the nut is it torqued at approx 210 Nm, the hub carrier is mounted into the radius.
In the other pictures you can see the items in their mounting sequence, the tab washer is spot welded to nut washer, and has same dimensions of the previous one...

The lock washer you have is the same as the ones I've used in the past and supplied as proper Lotus parts, so I think you're right there.  I'm guessing you've used the same internal spacers that you took out ? if not, the dimensions of S2 & TC should be 2.125", the TCS smaller at 2.0" because it's got bigger bearings.

Mine shows almost a full nut thread, about 1 or 1.5 turns from completion and it did concern me at the time.  As I'd re-used all the old spacers I think I just put it down to the new nut being thicker than the old ones which I'd successfully wrecked during removal. With 20/20 hindsight I should have kept the old ones for comparison, but of course I didn't.... :-[

Apart from that suggestion, I'm struggling. If the bearings & internal/external spacers are the right width and it's all tight then I'm not sure what else you can do about it ?

Messing about with the spacer widths to get a full thread doesn't sound right. Either the inboard bearing won't float and possibly get pre-load against the carrier or the brake drum will bind on the backing plate with lack of clearance. I'm struggling, I'm interested in what the other guys think.

I bought bearings and outer spacer for my TC from a reputable supplier, but the internal diameter of the spacer was too small and it woul not fit onto the full diameter of the shaft, it stuck on the splines. I had to bore it out a little on a lathe.
Might be worth checking!

I try to explain with more images the situation by posting some measures.
Furthermore:
-different shaft lenghts
-both hub are not fully engaged on the shaft's splines
-the right outer spacer doesn't slide along the complete shaft lenght but hit against  splines (pic outboard DX 2)
-if you sum all the thickness you'll find that roll bearings+inner spacer+outer spacer+hub+tab washer+nut are longer than shaft from screw face to inner bearing shoulder.

You think in case I can undersize the outer spacer? is it hardened iron?

What a bad situation, i don't know how to proceed, I'm scared to loose both wheels....
If something is not clear i'll try to explain better

You have the same problem I had. You can make the outer spacer larger internal diameter in a lathe. It is not very hard.

Yes. As you have it the hub will not fit all the way onto the splines.
