Sleeve nuts for revolution wheels
« on: Wednesday,September 09, 2020, 02:00:49 AM »
Morning all. Not been on here or touched the Europa for ages.

To cut a long story short, I bought a set of revolution alloys ages ago (5.5 and 7x13) but couldn’t find sleeve nuts long enough for the 7s - the sleeve part needs to be 50mm long for the 7s. I’ve found a machinist to make some for me in 316 stainless. Note: impact gun use is not recommended with these.

I don’t have a price from home, but he’s doing it in his spare time at work, so I expect it will be reasonable.

Does anyone else have the same problem? I could get some more made up. I’ve attached an image of the rough drawing I gave him.

Not looking to profit out of this, so if you need something different I can put you in touch.

I can't help you with your wheels or lug nuts but I'd advise that you never let anyone tighten your lug nuts with any impact wrench regardless what they are made of. I always use a torque wrench.

Agree, especially on flimsy studs with fine thread. Lots of people do though.

I have a solution. Just want to make it available to others if they have the same problem.

You might be able to find some in the mini world.  They use these nuts, I remember looking and one of the suppliers had them.  You might try the Mini place in California.  Mini Mania.  Will any of these work for you? https://www.minimania.com/ss/WHEELS_TIRES,WHEELS,WH_LUG_NUTS

Thanks for trying, but no. I need a 2” long shank of roughly 0.565” diameter.
