Title: TC engine for sale (no affiliation)
Post by: cal44 on Monday,October 29, 2012, 06:40:35 PM
The seller of the engine states it to be in San Diego.  If anyone wants me to take look, shoot me a PM.
I will make mention the seller is very optimistic as to his ask........very.  Especially when the engine should be gone through before installation.

Come on Mike, you know you want to......   :)

I think I'd want to know more before buying though. The comment of play in the water pump concerns me because normally on the Europa these last for ages, much better than on the Elan where people tighten up the drive belt too much and overload them. The Europa is a fixed tension belt and IIRC there were very few problems with the pump, so for one to show play at a reputed 15k is unusual.

You'd also have a fair bit of work to do to install it in an Elan or Seven...

Yes.....I did buy it.  Always a laugh when people insist it could be installed as is.  I tore half of it down yesterday and will pull the head and block guts this weekend............it may have been ready to drop it in 38 years ago.
If you own Europa Vin 7444592R.............I have your complete engine.
