I assume the thin ones are the ones where you need snap ring pliers for the holes.

Oh . . I thought it was the other way around!
The 'curly' clip on the right looks to be OEM or similar.

If that's the case, the old clip (on the right?) looks fine in the pic – are they damaged in some way?
As long as they spring outwards properly, I'd re-use them.

The clip on the left has rounded edges where it's been stamped out during manufacture.
If you use these, be sure to install them with those rounded edges against the cup.

found some locally but thinner so im not sure if it would be ok they are same as old ones except they are .045  compared to .058 that’s all they had .96 cents a piece so i bought them but i have to make sure they are safe

update!! went to drive shaft shop told me they are safe cause the clips only purpose is to keep the caps from coming out and told me there is no side load and he uses these often for u-joints  i asked would you put these on your car he said yes so
im gonna try them out

Not to pour cold water on the situation, but I question letting the drive shaft slop around .026" since the bearing cups can each move out .013"

i did to i was worried it might move around i just installed the new circlips they went in pretty tight there no loose between them and the cups i had to apply pressure to the cup to fit the new circlips if you look at the u-joint you will notice the cup is sitting on rubber so the difference is that there is a tiny bit less pressure on the rubber under the cup but there’s absolutely no loose so i am very happy with the results
