A quick note to thank all in the forum for all your help and advise during the restoration of my TCS.
Just finished the car in time for the British Car Show held just outside Toronto Canada this Sunday.
I entered the car and......
It came away with 1st place.
Cheers,
P.S - No doubt I will be back soon with running issues
-
Excellent :trophy: car looks great :beerchug: see some other interesting cars there too.
-
Congratulations! Impressive work and car!
-
:trophy: Congratulations!!! Very nice looking car and it looks like you had some stiff competition!
-
HI:Well done.Seeing a car in such great shape gives me faith and courage on my project!!!
-
Congrats on the trophy, that has to feel good!!! What size are those rims, they look just right for the car.
-
Thanks for all the notes - much appreciated.
With regards to the rims. I was convinced they were 16" - but - double checked.
They are vintage HRE 505 rims. 15" with 195/50 on the front and 205/50 on the back.
I do like the way they fill the holes and the 205's look great from behind the car
Cheers,

Those came with the car?! Those things are EXPENSIVE! And pretty!
-
I was very lucky.
When I bought the car they were on there - had not been cleaned for about 10 years, they were looking rough.
When I got them I took off the center caps - spent about a week polishing them and put long lug nuts on them.
Was also lucky to get a set of brushed aluminum Talbot Berlin mirrors with the car.
-
Congratulations she looks really impressive! Well done!
-
superb!
Congratulations!

Yes the wheels do look good. No fouling on the fronts with 195's ?
-
Hi Buzzer,
With the 195's there is a slight rubbing on the inner wheel well with full lock.
Other than that they fit great.
Cheers,
-
Very cool! Looks gorgeous.

:trophy: :trophy: :trophy: Congratulations on your first place! When I was finishing my Elan S1 restoration I had a car show as my target date to complete. Was well worth the late nights and long hours to get it done. Your Europa looks great!

I am glad I am not the only one.
185/60/13 Yokohamas. Very sticky, but very slightly too big.
