Title: Help identify hole in chassis

Bottom hole is for seat belts. What's the other hole for? They both line up with holes in the body.

There's nothing there on the TC and I doubt there's anything there on the S2. The PO must have mounted something there. Who knows what.

Is it just a hole, or does it have a threaded nut welded on the tunnel side?

I think the lower of the two is the seat belt mounting point ?... not sure about the other , will check on mine when i get home later .

lower one is def seat belt mounting point.  Upper one appears to have been bashed through quite violently by a prev owner, perhaps some sort of  DIY attachment.

No threads on the upper hole in the chassis. I'll glass over the matching hole in the body.

If the hole is not threaded it is very unlikely to be original factory made.

I cannot think of anything you could fit there so high up in the drivers (LHD?) side of the car.
