Title: Windshield Wiper Arms (TwinCam Special)
Post by: LotusJoe on Tuesday,April 03, 2018, 02:35:03 PM
Which arm goes on which side? I have looked at about a dozen or so pictures of wiper arms on Federal TwinCam Specials and it appears to be random. Any guesses?

The bent arm is usually on the driver’s side for two reasons: coverage almost to the edge of the windscreen, and so the parked wiper arm is out of the line of sight.

+1! That's the way I have them on my car.

UK cars only have 1 wiper.

When I change Fed spec TCS to RHD, I bend the bent one the other way, and yes, it does go on the driver's side.

So I produce RHD cars with 2 wipers, which must be very rare.

definitely on drivers (federal left hand drive) side since when on the up swing, it doesn't go over and past the left side of the windshield, but is "bent" in a more upright position and parallel to the side.    The passenger side (straight arm) can extend over to the driver side without harm.
