I'm with Mark. Every Europa should be restored!

I know the S1A chassis is rusted in the front where the T junction is.  It will be removed from the body from the chassis in the next few months for a closer evaluation. I am planning to take the chassis out from under. Will post pics and seek suggestions later on this.

Restore it!!! My chassis was ruthlessly removed with an angle grinder by the PO. Take plenty of pictures of it in its undisturbed state if you would! He cut the car up to a point where the front end now sags. now I have to make a bucks to prop it up and glass it back in.

Serge has a good section on his blog about how he got his out. Some say the bottom is easier, some say cutting through the firewall is the way to go. Mine was cut from the bottom and it damaged the body.

Thanks for your comments.  I started a new topic - Ways to remove S1 chassis under Garage. I would like to find out our member's experience on this topic.

Our national Lotus gathering in the Barossa Valley, South Australia.
The old one is a Lotus 12 it was the very first Lotus GP car and looked and sounded fantastic going around the race circuit.
Enjoy the pics.

My dad took my Europa to our annual British Car Show we have in Nashville and I won best in class of all the Lotus Cars. Their were 7 he said and I got this! It's not a picture of a Europa but he said he has some pictures that I will post when I go home this weekend.

Thanks!! Yep it seems like we have fixed the issue by just changing the oil with heavier weight. School is going well too, got another test tomorrow then fall break. Last weekend was pretty fun because we finally won an important game. Go Vols! So all is doing well!

Congrats on the award, Chris. Glad to hear things are well on the Europa front. Cheers.
The Twin Cam plays the symphony whilst my right foot conducts the orchestra. At 3800 rpm the Mad Pipe Organ joins in.

Hers is my type 65 -71 Europa S2. It has a Crossflow engine and a 5-speed gearbox. Im am currently working on mounting an external Engine oil cooler and oil filter from Mocal.

I also need to get the rear bumper re-chromed as it is in a sorry shape.

Best regards
