Brakes system Europa 1973
« on: Thursday,March 18, 2021, 06:11:12 AM »
Hi All,
I post some pictures of the brake system (Europa 1973 TC); does it sounds familiar to any of you or is it a specific setup?
Thanks for your help

Your PO (previous owner) deleted the brake boosters and along with that, almost certainly installed a smaller master cylinder. It’s a very common modification.

I also note that your closing plate (under the master cylinder) has been replaced. It was originally made of steel. From the picture, it looks like it has been there for a while so it probably ok, but a steel one would be stronger in bending.

Thanks for your help,

I possibly found the source:
https://www.passionautofrance.com/products/maitre-cylindre-freins-morgan-1977-1992-lotus-seven-caterham-westfield-jusqua-2004-girling-64670152

I do not know if the quoted reference is correct or if it is only the number stamped on the item.
