Anyone in or near Ontario CA?
« on: Tuesday,October 10, 2023, 10:18:34 AM »
Need to replace my 2-Post lift.
Found a company selling lifts at very good prices, maybe too good?
They claim to have a warehouse at 1001 Doubleday Ave in Ontario CA.
Company name Autotools US.
The address is real, but it is one of those gigantic warehouse complexes.
Tried to find a property manager to confirm that Autotools US is a tenant but all the phone numbers I find seem to be realtors who know nothing.
If they are legit it would be great, if they are a scam that needs to be known and dealt with.
Pretty new company so checking them out is being frustrating.
They do have people who answer the phones, they even call back.
They have good rating on eBay for accessories, but do not sell the lifts on eBay.
An eyes on look at the warehouse would be reassuring.

I think I have concluded they are a scam.
I sent an email challenging them to prove otherwise.
No response.

You may have good reason for your caution. This site has flagged Autotools US as a suspicious site. I don't know what data they use to make their judgement or how trustworthy they are.

The last straw was calling the occupants at the address they claim as their NY headquarters.
There is an auto parts company there, but not the scammers.
The legitimate company is very frustrated that there seems to be nothing they can do to combat the scammers abusing their address.
