Shock Absorber Bushings for '74 TCS
« on: Friday,June 10, 2022, 01:13:04 PM »
Does anyone know where to source a set of bushings (Front and Rear) for a 74 TCS in either poly or standard rubber for a shock that originally came on the car. Would appreciate any comments or suggestions...thanx

I have found one better....the bushings in a TR6 are identical in size and fit perfectly and are about $3 per bushing in Canada. Also you can use the same bushings in the shocks as in the A arms  and use poly bushings if you want...readily available at RD Enterprises and I spoke to Ray about it yesterday...GO FIGURE

So just to finish off this issue, it you use the TR6 bushings, you will need to find spacers for the upper arm that has an outer diameter of 1 1/4 inch and an inner diameter of 1/2 inch and a thickness of 50 thous or just slightly less so that you capture the entire bushing  and will still fit through the gap in the frame.
Regular washers will be too thick. Conversely, you can take 1010 thous off of the bushings and use regular washers. Your choice
Hope this helps out members in the future
