Who knew this even existed.......
-
Here is another one of one JPS
-
I wonder if they just like the JPS livery or are they saying how much they like the cigarettes they smoke.
-
There was genuinely a JPS Ford Capri. It was a Mk 2 and was far more restrained than the photo!
I have to confess to having been a Mk 3 Capri man for a time...
-
Just happened across this. Another JPS bike? Where did these come from?
-
I can't make out the tank badge, but there was a JPS/Norton team years ago in the Isle of Man TT. I'd guess it was early 70s or thereabouts because I packed up motorbikes around '75-ish, but I do recall Peter Williams riding with John Player as sponsor, but that was before the black livery. Did the black/gold come along with Lotus ?
-
This is my favorite JPS so far
-
I thought I was going to see a motorcycle.
-
Seems bike builders like the JPS brand.
-
Another one
-
Who knew there were so many JPS bikes! I imagine if we lived in England, we'd know of lots of JPS stuff!
I still think that the Lotus 79 in JPS livery was one of the most beautiful race cars ever raced!
-
I yes. This one BDA?
-
Nope. I'm talking about Black Beauty. Maybe the most beautiful F1 car ever! Here are some pictures:

Oh ...I also liked this version.
-
Yes. The first one, th 78, was the first ground effect F1 car. The next one is the 79, Black Beauty.
-
Back on topic, another JPS bike:
-
Ran across another JPS !

Three is better!

Good finds Dakazman!
-
It’s amazing that JPS is such a legacy brand
-
Interesting car but it just isn't what I think of when I think of a John Player Special!
-
Dakazman's pictures are later than the 79, but I think better-looking cars.
To each his own.
-
This one is running hot.
-
Found another herd .
-
Black Beauty, your first picture, is in my opinion, one of the most beautiful F1 cars ever raced, not to mention winning the World Constructor's and Driver's championships!
:lotus:
-
Well, if we are going to post the “herd” might as well show them all......
-
Certified, you must have been a cowboy to herd up that many🤪.
-
Rounded up a few strays.....
-
Who knew there were so many JPS cars and bikes!
-
The most beautiful of all the JPS style bikes.
-

Found a couple of pics for you, Peter Williams TT was white, red and blue. - Road going replicas where sold in similar colours.
Years later 1990 - 92 there was a JPS Works Norton team that did very well in pretty much everything it entered, TT included. Rotary engine was eventually written out of the rule book....
-
Some of that tobacco money spilled into the team Lotus formula 3 effort, with the type 73.
-
They are everywhere!

Paint it black and gold and automatically reduce your lap time...Lola T342 FF

I was at Brooklands museum in Weybridge UK a month ago and there was a nice JPS that I think was James Hunts F1 car. Lovely to look at but so basic, no driver aids just a big engine, a tub and a steering wheel, those were the days of serious F!, James Hunt, Niki Lauda and a ton of courage and in James Hunts version lots of wine and champagne! If you find yourself in the UK the museum is well worth the visit. full of planes and cars!
-
Found a modern day spin on the iconic livery.
-
There was also the JPS inspired Evoras that raced at Le Mans and other circuits a few years ago.
-
JPS print , just passing it on.
Dakazman
-
Nice!
-
Wow! What would I enjoy more? Tough Choice.
-
:trophy:
First is the iconic Jps followed by other familiar schemes.
Dakazman
-
Awesome !
-
This showed up on FB today.
t

And it's signed by Ayrton!
-
Thanks for the idea. LOL
I’ll push my grandson around in that.

Seems JPS is just an addition
-
Not knowing anything about motorcycles, it looks like there are several bikes sponsored by JPS after cigarette advertising was banned most places...
Who knew there were so many JPS things...
-
They just keep appearing......
-
This one makes you wonder!!!
-
Something seems to be making Chunky wonder!
-
Maybe he is wondering if he should have worn that shirt

Must have been good luck...actually, Emerson won the race that weekend in Austria. The # 20 was the spare car for Fittipaldi who was told to run some set up laps.
I have another shot of Colin's gaudy attire, but I'll save that for the Lotus 72 Tobacco topic.
-
Kick start your morning...
-
Thanks Lou! That is a great way to start one’s morning!
-
Thanks Lou!
-
Bet you haven't seen this before...smoke em if you got em!
Geoff Leeds F2 March Honda 832...Fuji
-
Pretty car! Looking at the livery, it could be a Lotus.
-
Going real retro...Take your old Vespa or Lambretta and really dress it!
