A friend just sent my this, idling by the roadside in Weston Vt. Looks like a new restoration out for a test, has engine cover strut holders so maybe a late TCS. I will find it !
-
Nice looking car!
-
Nice! Beautiful car. Kinda high in the front...
-
Interesting, the back window looks to be bolted in. Wheels are 14””
-
I'm always fascinated by what members notice on photo's such as these - I notice no bumpers and with the stripe continuing down the rear as it does it would appear he/she has no intention to fit them.
What is that on the forward sill of the drivers door...??? It's too far back to be an access cover to the hinge pin isn't it?
-
Beautiful Twin Cam.
-
Looks like they added a "chrome" hinger pin access hole cover.
-
Brackets for the engine cover struts would indicate a very late car, Spring 1974.
No sill chrome strip or silver fibreglass sill cover below.
-
Looks like they added a "chrome" hinger pin access hole cover.
But it's too far back John - and also seemingly too low...
-
It looks like the engine cover is held down at the back by 2 side pins attached to angle brackets.

Well I found it, the owner,Rob, is just completing an 8 yr frame off resto. He hasn’t used this site so I have tried to persuade him to join. He has some parts to sell including 5 Lotus alloy wheels. He took me for a drive. He has some interesting mods.
-
I hope he ends up joining! That's a pretty interesting car! I think he has to do something about the front ride height, though.

Man, that sure is one fine looking Europa. It would be nice to fit an aluminum header tank to stop the coolant from turning to mud (with everything being all new & clean, etc).
-
Bainford's comment on the swirl tank caught my attention. What do you mean by turning the coolant to mud? Where do you get an aluminum tank?
-
r.d. enterprises sells them for both S1/S2 and TC.
-
The S1/2 use a proper swirl tank. The TC/S uses an overflow with an air bleed passage, not the same thing.
