Nice progress! What color are you going to paint it?  I like the flares and the wheel choice.  Keep up the good work.

It's not a Lotus if it's not yellow! ;D (Just kidding, no death threats/hate mail please).
Your car will look great any color you decide on!!! (Except pink :o).

Hi
Have been busy with converting to ventilated brakes and had the engine out and inn again for painting frame/engine bay and suspension parts.  Bought the calipers on ebay and rebuilt them.
Discs are 266mm from Peugeot/Citroen.

That's good prog! Those brakes ought to stop you pretty well!

Does that fiberglass piece on the firewall come out so you can access the front of your motor?

Yes, it is a hatch for easier access to front of engine. Still not figured out how to make the hatch fasteners, but will do so when i fit the carpet.
The brakes are 750g heavier than stock per Side, could use aluminium hubs to make it even lighter.

Hello, great progress!

Could you use aircraft style anchor nuts with "floating" nuts on a cover plate, with a cord to stop the plate falling away into the engine area?
That way you can access the bolts from the cockpit single-handed.
You would need to attach (rivet) the plates to the cover but once completed it would be neat and strong too.

regards,

Mark

Looks fantastic! What color yellow is that? Would you mind sharing the paint code and paint manufacturer.
