£3,500 with no bids and no engine or a BIN price of £5,500.
Tell him he is dreaming.
IMHO, a Europa TC engine with the correct head, inlet cam, and water pump is like "Rocking Horse Sh*t". I bought one in need of a complete rebuild for £4,500 about 2 years ago.
So, add the re-spray, the complete re-trim, and all other rubber and bits needing replacement and you get £4,500 + £7,000 + £2,750 + £2,000 minimum + at least 300 hours work stripping and re-building.
In VGC, the most a TC could make is around £26,000 - £28,000 at the moment, so the car is worth...................not a lot.
I bought and imported a very similar car with engine for £6,500 landed, import tax paid, about 3 years ago.
I am not in the market for this one, even though I have the engine and the experience (but not the $6m to rebuild this man), as my wife would lynch me if another wreck appeared. She would notice.

Two people seem interested. If you crashed your car and wanted a straight rolling shell, or you had a race engine and wanted a stripped car to race, it would make sense.

Sold for £5,200.
The bidding went mad in the last hour.
All you want as a seller, two keen buyers.
Very "full" price.

If you click the link now, you get to a very nice Banks Europa with Vauxhaull motor in a TC body. The seller is asking 15000 pounds.

The problem with that car is there is very little originality, so it will never be worth big money.
H registration is S2 era. K is Twin Cam. L, is just about TCS.
So it has the paperwork of an S2.

Registered as an S2 with a TC body and frame and completely other engine!
It's a beautiful car but I agree with you that it's not likely to get as high a price as a restored/original S2. It would take two or more people who want THAT car (or close enough to that car) and that's an unlikely scenario.
