Title: TC body shell – Free, HAS BEEN CLAIMED
Post by: Grumblebuns on Thursday,August 06, 2020, 08:56:16 AM
I have a TC body shell taking up space in my yard. The body has been cut in half, the front is in good shape, the rear was hit in the left rear quarter. Local pick up only, located in north San Diego county, SoCal. If you have unused space on your garage walls, hang them up as garage wall art. I want them gone.

The body shell has been claimed, gone, NLA,  7-3-21

Do you still have the Lotus Shell? If so where is it cut in half? David   wendyanddavid@hotmail.com

In picture 4, you can see the cut at the "A" pillar and about half way on the lower sill.

I'll have to look around my garage to see that body shell came with doors, I don't remember. I'll get back to you after I take a look.

Sorry, no doors with the body shell. I do have a drivers side door that I will include. This is just the door shell only, no glass frame, motor or hardware.

Do you have any idea how to ship the Europa Shell? David

Probably the best and cheapest way is to build a skid or pallet or have one built. The skid would be able to be picked up with a fork lift and the rest is left open. A crate would be very expensive.

MANY years ago, I sent my aluminum race car tub from New Orleans to Chicago on such a skid. I took the tub to a crating company I had used in the past and they advised this open skid. They said it actually safer since the people moving it would be able to see it was somewhat fragile and would watch out for it. My tub to to Chicago to be fixed. It was shipped back to me on the same skid and arrived unharmed.

Is the hood included with the front end?

Sorry, the hood goes with another body, I'm only  using it to keep the oak leaves out.

I know where there is an available front hood that will be sold separate from the body shell. If you want it with the body shell, I can negotiate with the owner for the price. I'm estimating about $100-$200 for it.

Do not know if you are in a hurry, but I have a bonnet, 2 doors and engine lid.
Advertised them on this forum a year ago.
Problem; parts are in Lauderhill FL and I am due to chinese flu in the Netherlands.
Do not know when we can return to US, probably next winter.
Regards Bert
