That is WAY too close to home!
Kind of hac, er, "Modified", I wonder if that front spoiler is large enough?  ;D
I understand the tail lamps to be difficult/expen$ive to get.
Do not see a dash or gauges either. If the frame is sound the rest of it would not seem that difficult?
If no one else is closer I could do an examination.

Please tell me I cannot put this on my credit card, and do not offer to take any less.

Maybe pass this on to Dreams of a 47, he could work on the conversion while driving his current car.

You can put some reasonably sized rubber under the stock fenders.

I hate the flairs too. They belong on Mr. T’s Vandura.

Some say that all fiberglass can be repaired.
The S1 on FB is $6K now, but I think it is more complete in some ways.
This one looks like it should have some sort of racing history.
Now if both would just come down to earth one might provide parts for the other.
And they are not a tremendous distance apart.

(I'm not 100% sure if this is an S1 or an S1A?)

Its an S1. Owner said its number 86. Who needs a retirement? The smart money is in broken S1 Europas.

Any clue of racing history, and if so, by whom and where?
Flares seem extreme for a street car.

I have taken a look at the registry and 86 isn't listed, so that's another example found!
go on, you know it needs collecting....  :pirate:

@skippopotamus Can you confirm the chassis number is 460086? Many thanks.

If, it has the original chassis plate, and, if it has a title, then it's really not that bad.  I mean, it IS that bad but not really for a real, low number S1.  The egregious body mods make it look much worse than it actually is.  They would be moderately easy to remove and the body would look a million precent better.

You can even save a little shipping by asking them to bin the air cooled VW oil pump...

I looked up the engine number in the registry and that chassis number came back.  I think it's accurate but I never actually found that number on the car.
