Current displacement is unknown.

That’s a problem. The buyer will need to know that to decide if it’s legal in the class he’s running.

A commenter said that motor ran in Formula Atlantic. He mistakes that engine for the BDA variant, BDD or BDN.

Nice motor. It will probably go for a lot.

I have a turbo version out of an RS500 sat it my garage waiting for the right project to come along.... >:D

Have seen one in a Europa, was in standard tune but the turbo block makes it a bit heavy. Somebody used to do a kit to fit them into Esprits.

The Cosworth YB motor series fits quite nicely in a Europa, having one as an uncompleted project for a few years. My work on it was stalled for a couple of years due to other projects that came up. I need to order a couple of bits and hope to restart the project again. A custom wiring job is next on the list to do.
you can follow the progress here.

I'm lucky enough to have seen Joji's Cosworth Europa quite a few times in his garage. The workmanship is excellent and it's quite a sight to see a Hewland gearbox in a Europa.

A September 2019 dyno sheet from Huffaker Engineering of Sonoma, California indicates peak output of 267 horsepower at 8,100 rpm and 199 lb-ft of torque at 6,100 rpm.

Just enough to break a Renault transaxle?

Frank Dalton, the PO had just the YBB engine dynoed by a race shop back in the late 90s or early 2000s at just shy of 200 HP. Engine crankshaft horse power only, this was before the Dynojet chassis dynonometers came on the scene. No print out just, a meter reading. My Elise was run an a Dynojet and printout was around 175 HP, expect the YBB to put out around the same. It should have the same performance as the Elise, final weight being the deciding factor.

My YBB motor is a normally aspirated running 45 DCOEs.

Check out the size of the primary pipes on the header! 237 HP from two naturally aspirated litres is stout. It must sound wicked.
The Twin Cam plays the symphony whilst my right foot conducts the orchestra. At 3800 rpm the Mad Pipe Organ joins in.
