Very Nice JPS on ebay
« on: Tuesday,March 26, 2019, 10:38:51 AM »
There is a very nice JPS on ebay for $38,500! It's not totally original because it has headers, a Weber head and Dellortos. It also has a 5-speed I don't recognize which required modifications for mounting it to the tranny. There are also adjustable lower links and a beautiful new dash. (https://www.ebay.com/itm/1973-Lotus-Europa-JPS-JOHN-PLAYER-SPECIAL-105-TWIN-CAM/113697991314?hash=item1a78edaa92:g:HzUAAOSwyhVcmZZi&frcectupt=true)

Given a recent Europa sale on BringATrailer that was in similar shape (https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1973-lotus-europa-special-3/), the seller may get his price. Let's hope so.

edit: I forgot to mention the non-stock headers.

Curious to see what it actually sells for.

I realized the car is a North Carolina car. I messaged the buyer to see what tranny it has and where it is. If it's not too far from me, I might like to take a look at it.

edit: I just noticed it is South Carolina about four to five hours away so I don't think I'll be seeing it unless somebody near me buys it.

funny the shift pattern is on masking tape on the ash tray.    this because the shifter ball is not original, or the shifter pattern insert was replaced with the Lotus logo insert instead.    Seat might be leather, but those bottom pad inserts look like vinyl.    Also, all the sills were silver, not gold.   I wonder what those little round circles are under the window switches on the console?
Euro tail lights.
Very pretty car though...
