It looks to me like its been tarted up just for resale. Here in the UK more unscrupulous traders tend to do this.

If you look at some of the pics close up the car is not quite as nice as at first glance.
Paint is just poor enough that it will need to be redone fairly soon, same for some other details.
So a good fifty-footer but probably not quite a $21K car?

It's been for sale forever. You can buy the same car on Trovit for half the money :)

TROVIT seems to have an awful lot of cars unbelievably cheap.
I wonder how many of those are actually current?

There are so many red flags on that site it's hard to count them all.

On eBay yet again, with slight price reduction, at least from last go-around. Seems like it might have been this price sometime back, but I lose track when one car repeats over and over.

And yet again. Totally lost count how many times, and how many months. Now $19K. $500 less than last time, $2.5K less that back in March.

Slowly he reduces, step by step, dollar by dollar . . . .

Except for the wheels, missing door seals, and paint flaws, it is very much what I want mine to look like.
Mine will also have a warm TS headed engine with Webers, etc.
Even in its current state of being several sets of parts I would not take $19K for it.
Which is about what I expect to have into it when done.

So on the one hand this car is a bit overpriced, or maybe not, if you were to try to duplicate it from a project and your time has any value at all?
Being "Turn Key" has to add some value even for S2's.

:headbanger: Back again, but now price suddenly jacked back up an extra $4K from ad ending two days ago to $23,000! Same info, no mention of any reason it is suddenly worth more. Methinks seller is going the wrong way, dumbstruck with "champagne dreams and caviar wishes" to borrow an apropos line. If it didn't sell at $19K, yeah, I don't need to explain more.

Long ago I put an AH 3000 up for sale at what I thought a fair price.
Several lookers but no sale seemed odd.
Finally one of the lookers explained that since I was asking so little they assumed it had some issue I had not revealed.
Raised my price and sold it.

But I am certain that is NOT the issue here.
I do wonder if anyone has made a Cash In Hand offer on this car?

I guess the seller figured that it didn't sell because the price wasn't high enough...

In seller's defense, all of that marketing he's doing and auctions he's running cost $$ and have to be made up somehow.  >:D

Fifty footer, close ups reveal it will need paint soon.
And S2's get no respect!

As one who was never as big a fan of the S2s, I’ve been surprised at the loyalty many have for the S2s. Many prefer them to TCs and with the right massaging and a few mods, I’m to understand their performance can compare favorably with TCs. I have a lot more respect for them than I used to!
