Happy Thanksgiving to you, blasterdad, and all the rest of the Lotus Europa Community posters! For those across the pond, just go with the flow and we'll do the same on Boxing Day!  :)

Hi folks,

We may not have the Thanksgiving celebration over this side of the pond, but we're certainly getting the Black Friday sales this year.  It's early Friday morning here, I've just made coffee and already it's cost me a Kipling bag....   SWMBO is really on to these US customs !

Just worked out what SWMBO means.

I prefer the original played by Ursula Andress.

The first I knew about Black Friday was when I saw two separate shoppers struggling to carry 40" TVs at 7.05 last Friday morning. I thought they were looters !

You had me scratching my head in return as well. Ursula Andress ? my missus ?  how on earth are the two connected.....   then the penny dropped.  Yep, good link, good film, it even inspired me to read the original book at one time.

This Black Friday thing seems to have gone mad this year over here, hasn't it ?  I honestly don't remember any big fuss last year, just a few specials on Amazon but this year we've had people being carried out of supermarkets.  Supermarkets for heaven's sake......  places I only go under instruction.....
