Lotus Wheels - Black on Back?
« on: Thursday,December 31, 2020, 09:35:58 AM »
Surprisingly I have discovered that my car has 5 original wheels which have not been butchered, abused, hit with a hammer and generally rendered unusable, which, in comparison to the rest of the car, (which like an idiot you will recall I bought in pieces   :headbanger:), - is a welcome surprise.
Whilst I understand how the wheels should look on the front face - are they painted black on the back, as my wheels appear to show evidence of this.
How many members reading this thread thought of AC/DC.... ??? :FUNNY:

In case you're interested and subject to my memory, the original color for the wheels is sort of a medium grey with a tinge of green.

One of the problems with those wheels is that the holes tend to wallow out over time and you get vibrations. It would be a good mod to convert them to conical seat. Even better to press conical steel seats in them.
