Is that Stromberg air box from an Elan? It looks different from the one I have

With the idea of getting the cool air from low in front of the right gas tank, has anyone fitted an Elan Stromberg air box to an Europa? Does the angle of the box’s air inlet work for plumbing into the lower corner there? If it worked, it would be much simpler than constructing my own air box.

Doubt the angle is right.  You'll have to modify it.  Not that hard, really.  I modified and fit a TC airbox to my Renault crossflow powered S1 to achieve what you are wanting to do.
