Hi everybody,
The plan is not to block the holes in the emulsion tube but to limit the airflow (holes?) on the carb face. This is an easy thing to try as it only requires removing the air filter and the plastic cover on the front of the carbs. I had read about blocking them from several sources, so I thought why not give it a try. If it works fine, if not then go back to looking for an alternative. Here's a stolen photo of what I intend to block (or maybe just restrict depending on how things go):
In terms of needles, the carbs have dynojet needles and are located in the center channel. The main jets are 160. At WOT it howls, at idle it's smooth, just exiting idle is problematic.
