Really had to motivate myself in May, its bizarre that I have done so much in the last two years and now, the sun has arrived and I have so little left to do but I'm struggling to keep making progress.  Anyhow got into the garage this week a couple of times and fitted the heater fan, the coolant fan, wipers and washers. I even made up the front number plate last night and fitted that to help spur me on.  Only the fuel system to fit when I get back from my hols and hopefully we can start to commission her.

My first big target is the Silverstone classic  in July.

Your so close to finishing, keep the faith! I had the same situation in the rebuild of my Elan, the last month or two was always two steps forward, one step back. Having a target date to complete (it was also a car show for me) helps a lot.

Almost there! Good luck with the last few pieces. I'm expecting delivery of the new chassis in the next day or two, then I can start mine.

Yup, clean and tidy. Looking good.
The Twin Cam plays the symphony whilst my right foot conducts the orchestra. At 3800 rpm the Mad Pipe Organ joins in.

Very nice! When I was building my car, I bought a remote keyless entry kit but I never installed it because one of my locks was pretty stiff and I was afraid of burning out a motor. Do you have a feel for how strong those motors are? I still have the kit and it would be cool to not have to use my key to get in.

I'd be hesitant to rely on the motor if the lock itself is stiff. I installed remote motors on my GT40, but none of the mechanism was stiff. I removed the door handles on my Europa, but kept the key mechanism precisely because they are too stiff.
