Wow, that was fast.
Guess I should have asked for more. I got a great deal on it from a friend, and even though I put a bunch of work into it, it just seemed right to pass on a good deal to the next guy. Still feel that way, but the fact that I'm apparently about 7-8k short on the current Elise market stings a little today...
It was pretty decent when it left here, and now improved with new tires and some carb & distributor tweaking it will hopefully find a new new home.

 :Welcome: mitchfloyd!!

I’m across the pond so I can’t provide you with any sources to fix your wheels. I wouldn’t expect there to be any cracks in steel wheels. You might do an Internet search for wheel restorers. You might find someone who can help.

We’d love to see some pictures of your baby and know what plans you have for her!

Hello, I need to restore Europa steel wheels after a long time of use. Is there a reputable unit that provides crack inspection, sandblasting, cleaning and powder coating services?

Thanks for everyone's suggestions. Thanks.

I'm always browsing for shots I've never seen before...

This guy either needs to change his pants, or clangs when he walks!

Talk about a close shave...at Monaco

Rack has rack extensions and mounts are aluminium set to minimise bump steer. I noticed a marked difference in ride and drivability. Mounts are drilled align with T mount holes.

  Good day 😁
Finished installing the gearbox, ready for tomorrow’s test drive and see if it wet the floor in the morning. I would have been finished earlier but I took a two hour nap/ lunch/ pool break😁🤣

Thanks BDA :) Thankfully I have no plans to do the later door. I had a few reasons for doing the S1. Primarily I think it is the best looking of all the doors, they are also the lightest. The second is that I have an S1B that was in need of S1 doors, and the shipping from the UK was a motivating factor to reproduce. The last part was being able to make them out of carbon, since the S1 door has a finished interior I thought it would really look sharp :)

If there is any US based interest in fiberglass or carbon S1 doors here let me know. I have a few people who are committed to sets.

I am looking at doing esprit doors next. Lotus definitely refined the molding process when it came to the later cars.
