I am guessing the big tubes on the left of the motor are for the supercharger/intercooler, but what is the round tank for on the far back right?  Above where the OEM muffer would reside.

This car was mentioned on another forum, and it prompted me to wonder if the car is finished yet, please?

They should make a TV show where a group of talented mechanics/fabricators show up at the overhaulin shop and "steal" cars that have been sitting there for months on end and completely restore them again before the owners get a chance to drive them. The show would be narrated by Nicholas Cage and directed by Michael Bay. It will be called Exploverhaulin!

John,
What in the corn bread heck is going on with your car?  When you finally get it, let's have a new reveal get together here at my shop in Costa Mesa. We are all waiting to see your car.

Hopefully you received some good news.  I am glad to hear that they are following through with your car, it would have been awful to have them "overhaul" it and leave you with a number of serious problems.

John: Glad to hear your car is close to being finished... I'm just customizing the body and it's only about a third done... Been working on it longer than yours too.  You may feel like it's going slow, but compared to me, you're at lightspeed.   :beerchug:
Yes, it's work...   No, I don't mind it.

ahhhhh, but did they say which year......    :)

Great news John, I'm very pleased to hear you're almost there. If it's any consolation I had a good friend who was in the Lotus restoration business and his cars used to take ages to get finished. People often complained and his stock reply was "do you want it quick, or do you want it right ?"

His work was show winning stuff, and from the photos you've posted, so is yours. Better to be late than botched, the car will be worth the wait.

The Twin Cam plays the symphony whilst my right foot conducts the orchestra. At 3800 rpm the Mad Pipe Organ joins in.
