Hello, I have a renault 807-03 R16TS engine in my europa, looking gearbox 5 speed, I found a re 7700 598 262. Coming of a petrol R18 or R Fire. Is pug & play with my engine what is it 5 speed? my original gearbox is 7700 510 333
Thank you very much and sorry for my English difficult

The number you posted are probably stampings on the gearbox casing not the type of gearbox that you have. Gearbox type is generally a round metal tag on the end of the gearbox. Take a look at the website from Dave Syer. Should give you an idea of what you have and what gearbox will fit.

Here are photos of 3 different types of gearboxes that I have accumulated.
I know gearbox 1 is a 5 speed, from the ball bearing thing mounted on the back.
I have no idea what gearbox 2 and 3 are, and none have any ID tags.
Can anyone identify gearboxes 2 & 3 please?

Transaxle 1 = 365
Transaxle 2 = 352
Transaxle 3 = 352

But 2 & 3 are slightly different apart from the completely different bell housings.
Presumable different versions of the same basic 4 speed gearbox.

This is my 395 from and R18 petrol engine car. The rusty bit on the RH rear of the box is an extension I bolted on to make the shift work.
How to install a 5 speed (a 395 that is.....)

Gearbox #2 has a Renault bell housing to suit an 697/821/807 engine.

And the ball bearing thingy doesn't identify 5 speed. 352s have it as well.

If the detent cam has one notch, it's for a 4 speed (352). If it has two - like the photo - it's for a 5 speed (365). 8)
