I am in need of a stock TC alloy wheel and found one local, but the ex-owner, of an Europa wants $300.00 and won't budge on price. Seems steep, but is
this inline with the market ? Thanks for any input.

always just opinions, but I wouldn't pay that....
be patient....one will turn up sooner or later.
remember that these factory Lotus alloy wheels were notorious for balance issues and were quite often replaced by their owners with after market wheels like panasport, cosmic, wolfrace, and many others. so there are many just laying around waiting to be refinished.
be patient and keep looking...

That sounds high to me too. Dave Bean used to sell new TC aluminum wheels as does Europa Engineering. I don't know if Lotus Brand wheels are still in production so if not, these are reproductions but judging from pictures I've seen, they are very good. I would call them to give you some perspective.

If it is absolutely immaculate, then the price is ok-slightly on the high side. If it needs refinisihing, then it's too high.

I spent 12 months looking for a single OEM aluminum wheel for my TC. None to be found in any condition at any price. I needed an extra wheel for the spare tire.
A year later a set of four came up for sale and I bought the set and them had them refinished. I have much more spent on my wheels.
Personally, I would buy the wheel at that price if in good condition. And I will warn you that a week after you buy it a set of wheels will come up on eBay for only a $100 more. That’s just the way it works.

That's interesting, Certified. Did you contact Dave Bean or Europa Engineering for theirs? If so what was the problem with them?

Neither DB or RD had these wheels. I’ve never dealt with Europa engineering as they don’t communicate vis email which is vital to me as I travel too much for business.
