Title: Dellorto idle speed
Post by: EuropaJPS on Saturday,June 13, 2015, 04:04:06 AM
Hi guys. Now that I've had a chance to put a few miles on my car since the engine rebuild, I'm finding that the idle speed is too low when warm. If I leave it to tick over, once it is warm, the revs will die down to 500, struggle for a while and then stall. Does anyone know how to advance the idle speed on dellortos?

Many thanks in advance!

Thanks for your reply. I did actually read that article and it does tell you about setting idle and mixture, but not actually how to do it! It says 'set the idle at 900 rpm' but doesn't give any reference of how to do it? I don't want to fiddle with the mixture as it is running sweet, it is just the idle speed that needs adjustment! So many screws, not enough knowledge  :-\

I would adjust the throttle adjustment screw.

I will shortly be fitting a brand new head with 40DCOEs which should push out 145 BHP, so I will be going down the same path soon setting up the brand new Webers.
