WTB: Sun Visors

                 Im after a pair of sun visors for a tcs. If any of you have a pair or even one for sale, or if you know where I could source 2 from

I'm sorry I can't help out with parts but maybe a few suggestions.  The bad news is that I'm not sure what car they were originally from. My guess is that the bracket is a Lotus only part, but the actual visor looks similar to the early Ford Cortina ones, which were apparently used on the 1960s Elan.

If you have the originals and the problem is the usual one of the internal foam collapsing, that seems a common problem and people have had them re-trimmed. Mine also need that treatment, but it's one of those jobs that it's easy to put off....

My best suggestion is to try Richard at Banks Engineering and see if he can help. They do fabricate a lot of parts so it wouldn't surprise me to find that he makes up visors for the Banks' Europa that they sell. If you've not used them before, don't rely on email from the website but give Richard a call, he is very helpful.

Did you have any luck with the sun visors, I have just aquired a drivers side arm, so will get a copy made for the other side. I just need to know where I can get the visors to re-furb / make, tried all the usual places.

Hi Phil no I have had no luck. I believe that you can get the arms its the visor that's difficult to source. I am surprised that someone has not had some made up

There is nothing fancy about the visors. If somebody can fabricate a frame, you should be able to have an interior shop attach some rigid foam and cover it with anything you like. If you want, I can post a picture of a stock visor frame with dimensions.

Here's a picture. The part on the bottom of the picture is sheet steel that is wrapped to go over and rotate on the visor mount. Let me know if you would like more pictures.
