A couple of years ago I acquired a Weber TC head to create a cross section cutaway of the head. It took some time to cut apart with a band saw and then cut away part of the head with a CNC machine. The entire head was then glass media blasted to smooth out the rough edges. The water jacket areas are painted blue and there are four valves with springs and two spark plugs installed.
This is the ultimate TC sculpture for any enthusiasts garage or man cave.
$800 (includes shipping in the continental US).

Oy, as one who would gladly trade my left nut for a Webber TC head, I have to ask, was something irreparably wrong with it?
Anyone else out there considering turning a good big valve Webber head into art? I have a lightly used left nut for you!

No worries Surf, the head was shaved down too much to use. No valuable Weber’s heads were damaged in this process 8)

Very cool, Certified! :trophy:
I had the same thought as Surf. It seems like SOMETHING could have been done to make it useful again! On the other hand, it is useful now to see how heads are (or at least were) designed!

SOLD. Thanks for looking.

Just curious but did you cut it away to do research for a new casting? Or did you just want to see what was inside??
-
Just wanted to see how it was cast and the thickness of the casting in certain areas.

Is that your CNC? I am jealous :)

I wish. Nope, a local machine shop did it for me.
