$4500 seems like a lot to me but I am nobody’s appraiser.

Clever way to try to get around eBay's prohibition on enabling seller - buyer direct contact!

No sign of engine, gearbox, wheels and lots beside.
You can only value what you can see and IMHO that ain't worth much.

The thought I was trying suppress was that some Europas are not worth restoring.

It would be very useful if there was a dealer just dealing with second hand Europa bits, but the market is very small, and the transport costs are substantial for non-rolling cars like this one.
When just shells with chassis come up for sale like this one, you wonder where the rest of the bits went, e.g. engine and gearbox.
It is likely they were sold for decent money, leaving the lower value and hard to move stuff behind.

Agreed, but there are still bits there. I had offered him 2K for the body/doors/lids with the thought of using that to refinish and swap out my body, but never heard back. Even offered to fly out, rent a pickup/trailer combo, and drag it out myself like I did with recovering 004R's body from Marc Goldleaf in '07 to finish building 693R.
(yes, that was the body that was dropped onto 693R's replacement frame a few weeks later)

I’m glad you had a use for some of those bits!
