I knew I should have paid better attention in my Japanese classes. Even more, I should have taken Japanese classes!

Makes for an interesting read........

It goes something like this;

Page 1 - Europa Road Test
Page 2 - Where you sit to drive it, what it looks like from the front and rear 3/4 (so you can find it in the car park)
Page 3 - Proof that it's much better looking than anything else on the road in Japan
Page 4 - It's low so you can take a picture of the top easily
Page 5 - What it looks like if one drives over you  :o and obligatory picture of the engine
Page 6 - Yadda yadda....its a Lotus so it handles fantastically because....
Page 7 - of the brakes and suspension....
Page 8 - and the chassis (we've done a drawing because we couldn't get a photo of it, see page 5!)
Page 9 - the body is made of Fibre Glass but it would look like this if it was made of Glass
Page 10 - Dimensions so you can make a nice model of it

Think that about sums it up?!! - Should i include the standard comment about not having great rear visibility, seems to be mentioned in every article..........

*someone might be able to add a little more detail as i've only skimmed over it quickly. ;)

Here is Google Translate's raw barf-back on the scanned pages. The captions are all mixed-up with the body of the text and I can't guarantee I haven't got the pages out of order. I think the gist gets through however.

"Colin Chapman, an amateur friend of light-pockets..."

"...there are no adjectives that have been jacked up and rubbed."

Finnegans Wake makes for easy reading in comparison!

I was just in the process of quoting the exact same line Surf!!! :FUNNY:

Very interesting article with lots of detailed S1 pictures, many thanks for sharing :)
The Google translation isn't too bad and reveals some interesting facts (chassis 460167, imported from France).
