Here are some photocopies of some great Europa TC and TCS ads from various magazines from the '70s. Thought some of you would enjoy them. I have more at my son's house if he can find them.

Hi there,
Thanks for posting those, I clearly have too much time on my hands because I recently started to scan my old magazines for 60's & 70S adverts, clean them up a bit and make up some A4 prints to clutter up the workshop walls. As I said, probably too much free time.....
But here's a couple from UK magazines I'm about to start on to add to the thread. Higher definition & finished articles available when I'm done.....

These ads are great! Thanks for posting. Will make copies for my library of everything TC Europa.

Great blasts from the past!

Nice Wes,
Now I see your teaching skills, Now guide them/us to knowledge.
Got any videos?

Thanks Dakazman! Unfortunately, while there are some great vintage Lotus videos out there concerning their racing heritage and some on their production cars, the Europa always seem to get slighted and sometimes not even mentioned at all. Maybe someone on the forum should do a Europa History video. The few videos on youtube about the Europa usually only feature one owner's particular car and everything is centered around that exact car. If you haven't seen the Petrolicious video, you might enjoy that.

good video thanks

That was a nice video!
Why don't some of us on the forum produce a Europa history video. Certified can do the final editing!

I don’t have any Europa Specific videos (yet), but I do have a video I shot of Bob Dance talking about his time at Lotus:
https://youtu.be/syoeKkR76aA
And a two part video of Danny meeting with a few of us from the US to talk about the Lotus Brand:
“The Lost Lotus tapes”

I’ve also got video I shot of the entire Lotus production line at Hethel inside the factory. I was told I was one of the very few ever allowed to shoot inside the factory. One of these days I’ll edit it.

For those that haven't seen the film 11 Harrowhouse (1974), here is a period film featuring a JPS TCS.

BDA: I think it would be great if the members did a "History of the Europa" video. Some members could talk about theirs cars and that could be threaded with historical data and intertwined with footage of other member's cars being driven. I am sure that a lot of people would love to see footage of jbcollier's S1 or your car or some of the more interesting builds. I would love to see footage of some of the rare colours like Roman Purple, Olympic Blue, Mint Green, or Pistachio Green ect.--if members would submit them. All the videos on youtube.com usually one car. It would be really cool to see a barrage of them in one video. It would be a great promo for the forum.

I think I actually saw the entire movie (probably on youtube). The Europa scenes were the most memorable! ;D
Maybe we should start a new thread to make our outline of how the video would go.
-
The near misses with sheep are hilarious! I think we all know this is the last second of this car's life before the crusher.

Literary,
I follow Steve on Instagram however I’ve never seen this video. I enjoy it even though I’ve never driven one never mind comparing two.

Too bad the idea to make a video of Europa owners cars didn’t happen before LOG39. There were a dozen different types of Europa’s and the very rare GKN. I could have easily video interviewed everyone. Darn.
