RSS feeds
« on: Monday,August 19, 2013, 10:45:42 AM »
I have been using the RSS feed for about a week here on the forum. It notifies you when there is any posting on the forum. I use Thunderbird by Mozilla for my email gathering but it works with most email processors. I'm still learning about how it works but so far this is a convenient way to receive updates. If you get an opportunity check it out. The RSS feed button is at the bottom of every page.

The good news is, Chrome ate the link up like candy... Thanks.  The puzzling news is: your message arrived via an RSS link.

This high teck stuff, with all the "email me at "myname, period, calm" talk flying around is soooooo confusing O:-)

Brian:
Joe can answer what it is and how it works, but I can tell you what it does... Your question showed up in my mailbox because this is a topic I'm directly involved with, which means I don't have to sort through the website to see if anyone responded to Joe's post.

It certainly makes things easier.

My question is, do we have to click on the RSS button of every topic, or does it automatically know which topics we've responded to?
