Mike Spence Europa
« on: Saturday,April 20, 2024, 07:14:27 AM »
I was having a flick through some old magazines today and I found this article in the May 1970 issue of Hot Car magazine (a UK publication).

I have to say I've no recollection of this version and Mike Spence seems to have completely passed me by and definitely warrants further reading. Here's a scan of the article:

Thanks for posting. There were quite a few Europa tuners in the day including Else and Hermes. Spence Ltd. also went on to add the 'BRM' moniker  to further tuned Europas although no actual BRM engineering. Sadly Mike Spence had already died testing a Lotus 56 turbine car at Indy in 1968.
