Title: Here's mine, 2069R
Post by: Arizona on Thursday,November 07, 2013, 06:20:23 PM
Just joined the community. I was with the Yahoo! group years ago but left. I've more or less kept up via Jerry's knowledge base. I've owned 2069R since 1977. As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words (or at least they used to say that) so here are just a few by way of introduction.

Welcome George,

Love the Az.  Was up in your general area last April.  Any more old Loti in your neck of the woods?

Hi George and :Welcome:,

your car looks very beautiful. Did you restore it a shorter time ago?

Best regards

Stefan

P.S.: I never liked the Yahoo group very much. I think this is Forum is a better way to exchange knowledge and experience.

Not many Loti up here in the high country that I know of, only see the occasional transient but there are probably a few down in the Phoenix area. My car has never had what I would call a full restoration; had a repaint nearly 30 years ago and I replaced the vinyl seat covers with cloth when the seams split; much more comfortable. Other than that I just pretty much keep her running as best I can. Due to advancing age and infirmity (mine, not the car's) it doesn't get driven a lot but I do run the engine now and then and maybe take a spin around the neighborhood. I should probably pass her of to someone who would get more use out of her but I'm not quite ready for that yet.

Welcome to the forum, George.  :beerchug: That's a very sharp Twin Cam you have there. I like the reupholstery on the seats. A couple of the seams are starting to split on my original seats, so I may be looking to do something like this eventually.

I often wondered what the stock wheels would look like if the paint was not there between the fins.............it looks good.
