New to Lotus, new to Europa. Love the car. A 1971 TC. Bought it from a great chap in Stuttgart. It's RHD, UK car. Chassis 1089. It's in great condition.

Need to register and MOT.

Hi there, and  :Welcome:

That looks a little cracker and it wouldn't surprise me if the rear numberplate is the original one, the one on my car was like that.

Out of interest, what made you pitch for a Europa if you're new to Lotus and the cars ? Don't get me wrong, I'm glad you have and even more so that you're re-repatriated one to good old blighty, but most folks seem to go for the more popular Elan/Elan +2. Is it one of those "always wanted one back in the day" things ?

Anyway, good to have you aboard, how about a couple more shots when you've got it off that trailer ?

Hello Brian

Thanks for the welcome. I'm a fan of rear/mid engine cars. Current collection is a 2004 facelift NSX and 1989 Carerra 3.2. Elans now priced out of budget.

I had a great day in the summer at Donnighton, track day in a Europa. Loved it. The handling in particular.

I then set about buying a decent example. The orange car came up on carand classic. It's a 1971, 45k mile car from new. Its in really good, original condition. Just been playing with it in the garage. Under side looks very good.

Looking forward to completing the little jobs and enjoying in the spring.

NSX ?  oh wow. If only my garage was bigger I'd love one.  I'm very envious.  IMO the best thing to come out of Japan, ever.

Yes, it's fab. It's a 2004 facelift coupe, 14k miles... Very rare. Think there are only about 10 facelift coupes in the UK.

If you ever near Cov, pop in for a drive.

Absolutely.

My friends and family have now seen and compared the three cars. I kid you not. When asked, which one do you choose to drive away with? The answer is a unanimous 'it's got to be the Lotus'.

I'm there too. It's just a beautiful car, with such great lines. It looks and feels like a classic car.
