Well folks,  maybe I am in wrong section but I have to tell you guys, B. Mascio** contacted me for my lotus body, I hired a truck, packed it up, took a pic, sent to him so he would know
that I was not a scammer,  well,  payment time came up, no money, no return calls,  hotel was booked for my drive to toronto from montreal.   My loss,  I guess I am too trustworthy of people

Unfortunately, you’re not the first to report being ripped off trading Europa stuff. You have my deepest sympathies. I’m afraid I don’t have any experience with this sort of thing so I don’t know what the defense for this sort of thing might be. I would guess it’s not practical to set up an escrow account for a few thousand dollars and I have no idea if PayPal protects you from private transactions. Maybe in the future, your bank may be able to help protect you.

Wait, the body shipped prior to payment?
Um, I would never do that.
Paid in advance or at time of buy before loading.
If you hired the truck it should be simple to learn where it went.
Cops have no interest in helping?

The guy  agreed to pay when parts loaded on truck, before long drive, he saw many pics and even agreed 2 hours before load.  this guy was just having fun with me I guess,  a real dirt bag, hope no one on the forum will deal with him,  he spent a lot of money on the frame he has.

If it is any help, I was scammed $11,000 by a man in Florida selling me a car he didn't own.

He had previous, and had done time for it.

Local sheriff and FBI not the slightest bit interested.

Yes, when I attempted to help LE catch a dirtbag scammer who was still responding to emails I was told "Off the record" by an FBI agent that crooks now have to exceed "Six figures" to get LE/FBI action.
Guess anything less will not generate the headlines for instant promotion or launching a political career.
At least I was not scammed and did not cash the phony "Company XYZ" check.
