Nuk,

I think you can live without a tach, but I think you should figure out your oil pressure and temp gauges as soon as you can! They're pretty important! Let us know how it goes!

Yes, the wheels are from Elan M100, I think the previous owner modified her to fit 4 wheels disc brake from M100  :)

The temp is because the transmitter doesn't work, but the oil pressure, still do not know, any suggestion what should I check?
I am trying to get some parts from Richard (Bank Europa), but it is not easy to get him answer email, I understand that he is quite busy all the time, so I have to wait for a while or sometimes need to find the parts somewhere else.  :-[

Nuk,

to contact Richard, you just have to call. He doesn't answer any emails.

Serge is correct. It's probably best to call around his lunch time.

Check the pressure gauge. I think it's mechanical. If it is, a PO must have plugged the port in the block where the line is run to the gauge which implies that there could be a leak in either the line or the gauge and one or both should be replaced or repaired. If it's electrical, it could be that the sender needs to be replaced. It might be that the wire came off!

On the twin cam, oil pressure indication is mechanical. I would disconnect the oil pressure line and fitting at both ends and make sure nothing is plugged it up. Have the oil pressure gauge checked out to make sure it is working or install a known working gauge to make sure you have oil pressure.

The oil pressure port is located on the right side near the front below the distributor, see picture.

Thank you Serge, BDA and Joji (especially for the photo)

I am glad you guys are here, where someone with very limited of mechanical knowledge like me can get these useful information to keep our beloved Europa on the road  :beerchug:

Thanks again, cheers  ;)

I've put the chassis on the front wheels, put together my driveshafts, custom polyurethane engine and gearbox mounts and dropped the engine block and gearbox in the chassis to do a dry assembly of the rear suspension, coolant tubes, gearbox linkage etc. I'm also on the verge of putting my steering rack back together.

Slow but steady,

Serge

I'm almost a year behind updating my blog and video series, but life's getting in the way. The little spare time I have, I rather work on the car instead of editing videos, but I'm trying to play catch up.

Hey Chuck,

How is the progress? With the body disconnected from the frame, how is the frame, engine, suspension work going? It's not the hot Dallas summer so you should be making good progress!! Have you been in contact with Sports Car World? Are they still in business? I tried calling them from the number on their website but that number didn't work...
