What is a Renault wedge head?  I have a non-crossflow head R16.

Also, what is the condition of the carbs?  They are about $425 new, so will they need rebuilding?

 The non-Crossflow R16 is considered the wedge head. The carb was working when removed, so I think a good cleaning and new gasket set along with a new needle and seat would be good.

Yes, I received the check yesterday. It was not delivered on time. Carb and manifold are going out on Monday.
