Interchanging 395 and 365 internal parts
« on: Wednesday,August 16, 2017, 08:48:45 AM »
While re-subscribing my GGLC membership, came across this writeup by Jerry Rude on the interchangeability of 365 and 395 internals.

Wow!  It's like sitting at a table with a couple doctors, lawyers or astronauts talking about a recent excursion and BARELY being able to follow.  This collective knowledge will benefit people for years to come.  I too have a 365 box with an issue and have a line on a 395.  If nothing else, there is hope!

You can beef up the 395 diff by fitting a Quaife torsen diff.  Best gear combination is to be had by using an early 395 for its 3.4 first and the 0.86 5th out of a later 395.
