  Again another setback.
Oil leak was the connectors to the block. I guess I’ll order the low oil pressure light sensor and it mounting boss.
Then my water leak was just the cap , where did the rubber gasket go in 35 years??? New cap should fix but after fixing the throttle cable connection and a different return spring, the hung throttle cable is now fixed. I’m still looking for a dual spring setup.
Then the big setback, but not for taking it for a test drive and was breaking the he choke cable anchor at the carb,,, made in China or I believe it was Redman.  I’ll check my Weber extra pieces on Monday, hopefully

Thanks BDA and Swift. I thought about a regular pedal switch. If I can just swap and be done it would save extra wiring.

New Lucas one is on it's way. I'll post what I find between the two.

I got fed up with the hydraulic switch not activating with light pedal pressure so I fabricated a mechanical switch activated behind the pedal.

I had to change mine (from the original) but it's been a while so I'm not positive the failure mode. I think the brake lights would fail to come on. If I remember correctly, you could be experiencing the same thing. I just get a new one (3/8 - 24 thread) from any parts place and my brake lights work now.

Nicely done!  :pirate:
What was the final weight savings on the doors?
Tom

We are still working on the molds. These are just pictures I found of a TC wearing S1 doors to show the difference. Without glass and window motors I am expecting at least 30-40 lbs? It will be fun to see. I think we are probably a month away from pulling parts.

Has anyone dealt with a brake pressure switch that took too much pedal pressure to close the contacts? A casual stop is not enough on mine.

I can't find at what pressure these close at. I ordered a new one today and I will bench test both but I'm curious if this is common when they fail or do the just not work when they fail.

If you're having trouble with the size of your pictures there are several ways to resize them. Here are a couple:

If you're having trouble with the "mechanics" of posting:

After you press the "Reply" button or you start a new thread,  to post the picture, click on "Attachments and other options" below the message box.
Under "Attach:", click on the "Choose File" button and a file browser will come up.
Click on the picture to attach to your post and click "Open."
The file name will be filled in the box next to the "Choose File" button.
When you post, your picture will be attached to your post.

Good luck!

Good that it is so far away or I would probably be trying to buy it.
My car was presented as nearly a runner but I've had to take it down the frame, then rebuild the frame too.
I am having to go through nearly everything so really not much less work than this one, but I paid a lot more for the privilege.
