Sad to see them go
« on: Tuesday,August 25, 2015, 12:34:13 PM »
This morning I helped load my two Europas onto a transporter for the new owner. Both cars are going to their new home in Belgium.

Black and white, what a sight. I bet it was bitter sweet to see them off. Is that the new owner in the second picture?
That makes two more to leave the continent.  :-\

Congratulations on the sale, Joji. I know it must be bittersweet, but now you can concentrate on your YBB Europa! I can't wait to see how that turns out!

Hi Joji,

any idea who the new owner is in Belgium? I might have a new friend soon!

Believe me, it was sad seeing both leave at the same time but it was as far as I wanted to go with both cars. BDA you're right, I now have more time for the Cosworth project. I also have an Elan Plus 2 to get back into running condition and sold

Serge, the new owner is Henris Classics of Fazantendreef, Varsenare, Belgium, 8490. The new owner is indeed the young kid in the second photo. It took all of his $20k saved up to buy the JPS, plus he had to borrow the remainder from his father. I will forward his email address when he contacts me after he gets home to Belgium. He already has a S2 back home in Belgium so he is not unfamiliar to Lotus.

Congratulation on the sale Joji, but also sad to see them go. If they are here in Thailand, that genuine JPS at 20K will be mine in a blink of an eye (because the import tax for cars into Thailand is approximately 300%, so the cars here will never be 20K  :headbanger:).
