WTB: Wiper arm for S1
« on: Monday,September 21, 2015, 07:17:26 AM »
I am looking to buy a wiper arm for my S1. Is this cross reference to other cars? If you have a extra/spare one, please let me know.

Same arm for all the non-federal, single wiper Europas.  Not common over here but lots on the other side of the pond.  Try Banks, he'll probably have a used one.

I took a pic of my wiper stub. It does not look right comparing to the 72 TC one I have?  Is there parts missing? See pics below.

Besides the knurling being messed up on the upper one, they do look different but I don't think that is significant. I would guess that the "wheel box" is pretty much the same on all of the cars and the important difference would be the chrome 'bezel' but I'm not sure they are different between the cars either. I couldn't find a part number for the wheel box for the S1/2, but I did find one for the TC.

The upper one is foo-barred.  It's the same as the lower one except the serrated mounting bush is gone.

From all your input, I will need a " Lucas Wheel Box"  part no. X036M6151W (See pic). Does anyone has a old one from S1 or S2?

I'll throw in a plug for sports car world since they are right next to me in Dallas. Great group of guys with tons of spares. Kyle South is the guy you want to talk to.
