Fuel Pump Cover

Thanks to Katanaman's superb story about his friend's band saw, I remembered one more job that slipped my mind... After installing my new electric fuel pump, I had to remove the mechanical one.   This morning, I made the plate to cover the opening (done on the fly, with no drawing, as I'm often guilty of doing) and decided, after the fact, to document what I made in case anyone else needs to do the same thing.  The only critical dimension is the mounting hole placement which a 5/16" drill is perfect for.  My plate follows the shape of the existing gasket, mostly because I had a scrap piece of 1/8" plate that just happened to fit, and because any more is just wasted material.  I left the original gasket in place, but applied additional paste gasket to the 1/8" aluminum plate.  Hope this helps.

Yes, it's work...   No, I don't mind it.
