Porsche 914
« on: Tuesday,October 02, 2012, 08:11:49 PM »
I start this in hopes Joe has a few snaps of his 914.  I have had several and have been fortunate enough to been to the Porsche museum in Zuffenhausen to see a 918.

Also I would like to see others cars (hobby), TVR, MG's, Lotus, Marcos etc.

Thanks Joe for making the off topic section.

Nice car Joe.  Which engine block is that?  I always admire a car I can eat off of.

Mike
Sorry for the poor quality.  Digital cameras were not quite affordable at this time in history. 914/6, 904 and 918.  Some years ago for a little visit to Zuffenhausen and the Porsche museum. And a shot from a race here in San Diego.

The engine is an original  2 liter (3 bolt head) "GA" case, utilizing 96mm pistons, over sized valves, port and polished, moderate cam, and converted to carbs.

Thanks for the links, Brian. An excellent insight into a car that I have admired from afar, and have been quite curious about.
The Twin Cam plays the symphony whilst my right foot conducts the orchestra. At 3800 rpm the Mad Pipe Organ joins in.
